Don't be afraid to shine.....!

Let's get one thing straight from the start, I am NOT comparing myself to Nelson Mandela, but he is saying what I have been preaching for years:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most.
We ask ourselves,
'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?'
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us.
And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Used by Nelson Mandela in his 1994 inaugural speech.

His words say it all. We are taught from our early years not to 'show off', not to put ourselves on a pedestal, not to shout our confidence out to the world, not to let the world know that we are happy and secure and know where we are going. That the world does not like 'cockiness'!!

Well let me tell you right here and now that unless you believe in yourself, have faith in your thoughts and actions, and do what it is that YOU want to do without interference or hindrance from the negative dream stealers that surround us all on a day to day basis your life will have no basis, no purpose, and your life's frustrations will continue from this day forth.

You can change your destiny. You should change your destiny. You have the ability to do - but do you have the desire?
